These pictures are about a week old but I figured I should put them up.

Colin met me at my office after work and we were going to hang out... but he locked his keys in his car so we ended up just waiting in the parking lot for AAA to come. I had a really good laugh about that one!
Finally after AAA came and unlocked his car we went to a park that is close to where I work... it's actually where I went to Prom my junior year. They have a nice building on the property that the dance was in... that's beside that point. They have a nice waterfall and pond and so we took a picture in front of it!
So I'm posting this because it reminds me of Colin... every time I yawn he sticks his finger in my mouth and says "caught a fly". I actually bit his finger once. I didn't mean to do it very hard but it was at the end of my yawn so my mouth closed really fast and hard... needless to say he sticks his finger in my mouth less but he still always says "caught a fly" hahaha

Dinner with Justin

I found this really easy and yummy looking recipe on Pinterest for Crockpot Italian Chicken that I really wanted to try. So yesterday I decide that I would try it and then invited Justin over for dinner. It turned out really well and it was nice to spend time with Justin... even though he was really tired.

Here's the table set nicely and halloweeny, which wasn't on purpose haha
Justin was nice enough to bring our grandparents puppy Monti over! I love him!
Like I said... he was really tired amd so was Monti.
I forgot to take the picture before I cut into my chicken... But here's the Italian Chicken!! It turned out really well and I had enough leftover to bring for lunch today! Yay!!

Preparing for Halloween

Besides going to Scarywood there are many other things needed to be done to prepare for Halloween. Such as carving a pumpkin and looking at costumes. Both of which I have done in the past week. On Monday FHE was pumpkin carving and Colin, Jaleyna and I carved a pumpkin together! Then yesterday Colin and I went to look around at costumes to try and get ideas of what to be.

Our awesome pirate pumpkin out in front of Colin's parents house. We will be carving more before Halloween and I will put pictures of them up. I must say... carving left handed is very interesting
Should Colin be a Luchador? I didn't think so either.
How about a monkey? He can make a crazy good monkey noise... I will have to video it and put it up here sometime.

Why is this weird monkey kissing me? hahaha the people that work at costume stores must have so much fun!

My From Home Business... Kate's Party Pantry

Ever since I had taken a cake decorating class I had had this idea of starting a small from home baking business. It was slowly turning into a reality but was then fast forwarded very quickly when I got my very first order for a birthday! So I ordered business cards and got cracking! With the help of my mom we decided that I should include not only my baking skills but also my present wrapping skills (every year I wrap litterally almost every single present that isn't mine for Christmas) and my organizational skills as well. So I turned into not just a baker but a "Party Assistant"

The front and back of my business cards... and just in case anyone wants to order anything I just got and email specifically for orders and it is: kate@katespartypantry.com
My very first cake that I made in the cake decorating class... It turns out that doing stuff like this is really easy but it just takes a lot of time!
The second cake I made in the class. I made the flowers and everything!! :D I was and still am so proud/excited for myself!
The side view of my second cake. The basket weaving was also easy but just took time.
This is a cupcake cake from my first order. They were German Chocolate cakes filled with the typical German Chocolate frosting but then topped with chocolate buttercream.
 The top view
The second cupcake cake for my first order. It was vanilla cake with White Chocolate Cream Cheese frosting!
I made these with a few girlsw from my ward for the opening ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics!! It's the torch! :) They are really easy and really fun!

To be honest, I think that I am the most proud of these simple cupcakes! These were the first cupcakes that I made and decorated since I broke my right wrist. So I decorated these left handedand they still turned out great! The cake was yellow cake from a box (which I normally don't do, I was missing an ingredient that I need for my from scratch ones) and the frosting was a homemade, and very simple, buttercream! YAY!! And they are on a beautiful cupcake stand that my sweet daddy bought for me! Love him!

I already have 2 more orders for 2 parties in November! I will put pictures of those up once they are done! :D

Scarywood!

Every October our closest theme park, Silverwood, becomes haunted and turns into SCARYWOOD! The last time I went was 2 Octobers ago before I moved down to Utah for a short period of time. So I got to go again and this year I went with Colin, Jaleyna and Jacob! It was really busy and we spent most of our time standing in lines but it was still fun! I think my favorite part had to have been when we were in the different haunted houses and would turn a corner and I would see something but wouldn't say anything and then Colin would jump. Hehehe.

Colin and I waiting in line for the 3D haunted house... it was a forever long line haha
Jaleyna and Jacob! And I didn't notice until now that they were photo bombed by a kid in line behind us haha!
All 4 of us waiting in line... sorry it's blurry!
:D
Waiting in the incredibly long line to ride the huge haunted train there were "scary" people going through the line scaring people... so we decided to get a picture with one of them! haha.
All 4 of us on the train... we were in the car that didn't have a roof and there was a huge gun mounted above us that was ridiculously loud! Covering my ears barely even helped but it was fun and nice to be able to sit down for a little while.

I Thought I Was Done With High School...

Well... shortly after moving into my new house I woke up one morning, already in a bad mood, and went into the kitchen to get a glass of water. I then looked out our kitchen window, that I could see my car out of and saw that someone had decided to leave me a suprise...

If you can't read what it says, it says: "Welcome to the 'Hood'" and then there is a hand drawn that says "Peace" by it. So naturally, already being in a bad, seeing this made me even more upset. And I went ranting to all of my friends about how I was sure that it was just a bunch of 14 year old high school boys that were being 'stupid high school boys'...naturally it's what they do best haha. Well I later found out that it was a group of guys that I had been hanging out with and that I had ranted to several times about those 'stupid high school boys' that had sneakily found out our new address and came in the middle of the night. It was mostly the plotting of one of the boys in particular. So I decided that this required payback... plus a little extra. We not only ceran wrapped his car but we put oreos all over his windows first! hehehe

>:-D
Welcome Back to the 9th Grade! I thought it was very witty haha ;)

Thankfully all of this was right before he was headed back to BYU-I so he didn't have any time to continue our little war! :D

Moving Into Adulthood...Also Known As Moving Out of Your Parents House

About two months ago I decided that I was going to stay in Spokane to finish out school instead of going back to Utah. There were many reasons behind this decision but one of the main reasons was so that I could take care of my health with doctors that know everything already and that my family knows and trusts. Upon making that decision I promptly told my mother and said that I wouldn't be living at home. She then said: "Good. You're not supposed to live at home when you're 20." Thank you mother!! For being understanding and very supportive.
Not long after all of that happened and started rolling I was moving into a cute 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house with two girls from my singles ward, one that I only kind of knew and one that I didn't know at all. I was a little worried and nervous but knew that it would be an adventure that I hadn't had yet and was looking forward to having. So I moved in with Jaleyna and Makenzie! It has turned out great!! I have so much fun with both of them and best of all... there is NO DRAMA...between the three of us at least. haha.

Switching spots so that you couldn't see my ugly temporary cast haha
The three of us at a regional barn dance! It was a blast! I wish I could've rode the electrical bull though lol. Left to right: Jaleyna, Makenzie, and Me! :D

There will be more pictures of the three of us to come... there will also be pictures of the inside and outside of our fun house... we still have a little organizing and cleaning to do before that happens though lol :)

The Love of My Life... My Horse

As many of you may or may not know I have had my horse Prism for over two years now. I can't believe it's been that long! But I am now, very very sadly, in the process of trying to sell her. When I made the decision I cried for days... But I just don't have the time, now that I have a full time job and will be starting school again in January, to give her the attention/love that she needs and desrves. Ugh I hate this... typing this all out is making me cry again :P

The very first picture I took of my very fat baby girl... people would ask me if she was pregnant haha poor girl. But I started to exercise her and love on her and she slowly got into better shape and our love grew more and more. :)
I just loved laying on her bareback.
This always made me sooo happy!!! I would run and she would trot along behind me without a lead rope!
This is the last picture I have taken with her... it was a few weeks before my accident so I havent gone back out. But I will soon. This is the picture that is with her For Sale post. She looks soooo much better and I love her and will miss here dearly!!
